There are many professional golf courses within a 30 minutes drive notably Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamar. Quesada has its own 18-hole course, and there are a set of golf clubs available at the property.

Guardamar: There are several local markets that are open every day throughout the year.

The climate is generally dry and boasts 305 days of sunshine a year.

Several of the beaches are "Blue Flag" with fine sand and good bathing for families. The stretch between Guardamar and La Mata is several miles of unbroken beach.

A visit to the lakes to enjoy a mud bath is recommended by doctors around the world because of its curative properties for a large number of rheumatic dermatological, heart and respiratory complaints.

The large bustling town of Torrevieja is a ten-minute drive away with hundreds of bars, restaurants and a lovely seaside promenade with night-time market. As well as the many shops and large Friday morning market, the town has an attractive front and marina.

There is also a small fairground. Fishing, sailing and other excursions are available.

Terra Mitica, the largest theme park in Europe, is situated in the hills behind Benidorm and is about an hour's drive away. Terra Mitica is a trip through Mediterranean cultures designed to create an exciting experience for people of all ages.
